
Julie Ellen "Tawny," Kitaen was an American actress and model. She was born between May 7th, 2021 to August 5 1961. She began her career as a TV actor, acting in the TV films Malibu (1983), California Girls (1985). She was also a part of the comedies The Perils of Gwendoline and Bachelor Party (both 1984), as well as the horror film Witchboard (1986). Kitaen gained a wide-ranging recognition for her performances in numerous heavy metal music videos. Some of them include Ratt's "Back for More" (1984) and Whitesnake's "Still of the Night", "Is This Love" and "Here I Go Again" (all 1987).In the decade of 2000, Kitaen transitioned into appearing on reality television series which included The Surreal Life (2006) and Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) and "Here I Go Again," the latter of which explored Kitaen's issues with substance abuse. Kitaen was born Julie Kitaen in San Diego, California in 1961, the third child born to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor) an housewife and one-time beauty pageant judge, and Terry Kitaen, an employee of a neon sign business. [1][2] Kitaen's mother was of Scottish and Irish heritage, and her father was of Russian Jewish heritage. Kitaen was born Jewish. In the year of 12 she began to adopt the name "Tawny" that she created on her own initiative. [6] She was dyslexic as a young child. This made her abandon Mission Bay High School. [7] She was 14 when she first saw Penny Frampton perform at Balboa Stadium. [9]
